What to Expect
We conduct comprehensive screenings to assess your emotional, behavioral, or cognitive state. Your provider will ask about your concerns, any symptoms you’re experiencing, your general health and medical history, among other things. This process often takes more than one session to complete.
In some cases, we will run neuropsychological screenings before making a diagnosis. These in-office screenings are designed to measure specific abilities, skills and deficits that inform the process of finding the right diagnosis.
After Your Diagnosis
After you have completed your initial evaluation and received a diagnosis from a provider at Rivia Mind, treatment options like psychotherapy and/or medication may be suggested, depending on the diagnosis and your treatment goals.
Second Opinions
We welcome those exploring their mental health options to visit Rivia Mind for a second opinion.
During second opinion visits, we conduct the usual comprehensive evaluation and diagnosis as noted above – but we can also review a proposed treatment plan by another mental health provider – whether that includes therapy, medication, or both.
