Leah received her social work master’s degree from Wurzweiler School of Social work. She is passionate about encouraging self-awareness and promoting self-growth. Leah believes strongly in the human capacity for change and uses many avenues to help clients foster the changes they wish to see in their lives. Her practice is from a trauma-informed approach, recognizing how trauma may have impacted one’s beliefs, reactions, and behaviors. Leah holds positive unconditional regard in the therapy room and believes in a collaborative therapeutic process that caters towards the needs of the individual. She utilizes skills from various modalities including dialectical behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and internal family systems therapy. She believes in maintaining a compassionate and non-judgmental approach in therapy. Her experiences include adjustment issues, anxiety disorders, depression, life transitions, and trauma.
