Kathleen is an ANCC board certified psychiatric nurse practitioner with over 13 years of experience in inpatient, outpatient, and emergency psychiatry as both a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner. She completed a Master’s degree in experimental psychiatry through Villanova University and worked extensively with bipolar disordered patients in medication treatment trials at the National Institute of Mental Health. She then completed her RN through the University of Rochester and her NP through St. John Fisher University. She has experience with patients across the lifespan with varied diagnoses such as mood disorders, psychotic disorders, anxiety, PTSD, and personality disorders. Her preferred treatment modalities are cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy. Utilizing both pharmacological and non-pharmacological approaches. She strives to create a safe, open environment, empowering clients through education and participation in treatment planning and decision making.
