Julie is an ANCC board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner. She is also an AMCB board certified nurse midwife with 17 years experience as a midwife. She obtained her Doctor of Nursing practice at Frontier Nursing University in Hyden, KY. In addition, she has a certification in perinatal mental health. She practiced full-scope midwifery from 2006-2021. Julie, most recently, was founder and then director of the Perinatal Behavioral Health Program in Weymouth, MA. Her passion is caring for peripartum individuals with depression, anxiety and birth trauma, perinatal loss and PTSD. Julie provides trauma-informed care to all people. Julie believes that everyone is an expert in their own body and that choice, empowerment, and autonomy are key to creating a healthy relationship. Meditation, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing are often used to support healing.
