Hunny received a Master of Social Work degree from New York University Silver School of Social Work and Bachelor’s of Social Work from Adelphi University. With a background in medical and community social work with homeless and low-income individuals, as well as gerontology, Hunny brings awareness of how intersectional identities inform how we experience everyday life, and is committed to a multicultural approach to psychotherapy. Hunny holds certifications in complex trauma, grief, case management, and cognitive disorders in aging populations.
Hunny’s therapeutic approach is integrative, inclusive and flexible based on the unique life experience, goals, and needs of each individual. She utilizes a variety of evidence-based practices to meet your specific therapeutic needs, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness, play therapy, and motivational interviewing.
