Here are some frequently asked questions for your information.

Will Rivia Mind bill my insurance?

Yes. Services that qualify will be billed by Rivia Mind for the following insurance companies, provided we have your most up-to-date insurance information on file.

Please note, we do not participate with Medicaid at this time.

Rivia Mind will submit bills to your insurance company directly and will do everything possible to advance your claim. We will give you an estimate based on your benefits before starting treatment. However, this is based on the initial inquiry to your insurance company and is only our best estimate at the time. There might be a discrepancy when the claims are actually submitted.

What is a deductible?

A deductible is the amount of money you have to pay before the insurance company begins covering part or all of your medical expenses. Deductibles can vary greatly among insurance plans and types of service. Deductibles also reset every year. Typically, at the beginning of the calendar year, you would be responsible for the deductible before your insurance begins to cover part or all of your medical expenses. Please check with your insurance company to find out if you have a deductible and when it resets.

What is a co-payment?

A co-payment is a set amount of payment that you may have to pay after you reach your deductible. You are responsible for this payment, and the rest of the bill is paid by your insurance. Co-payments can vary greatly among insurance plans, so be sure to check the amount for outpatient mental health services on your specific plan.

What is co-insurance?

Co-insurance is a set percentage of the insured medical expenses that you may have to pay after you reach your deductible. It differs from co-payment as it is not a set amount, but is a percentage. For example, some plans share the cost by splitting between 80% insurance pay and 20% co-insurance paid by you.

Co-insurance can vary greatly among insurance plans and types of service. Please check with your insurance company to find out if you have co-insurance.

What does it mean if I’m out-of-network?

For out-of-network billing, payments are due at the time of your service, and you will receive a super-bill as a receipt, which includes all the information needed for your insurance company to process your claim for reimbursement.
